Meet The Board

NICOLE LYTLE

Nicole is Mom to Rare Birds Jonah and Flora. With a passion for translating laboratory research into better health outcomes for those living with ADSLD, and a heart for connecting ADSLD families with resources and with each other, she is proud to lead this inaugural board. 

JUSTIN LYTLE

Justin is Dad to Rare Birds Jonah and Flora. Justin brings years of experience administering various programs in partnership with non-profits throughout the State of California to help increase economic security for low-income families and individuals. As a trained visual artist, he also brings his design skillset to all things Rare Birds.

KAYDI FLUG

Kaydi is mom to Rare Bird Finnley. With a background in retail management, she brings her people skills and attention to detail to our team. When not raising her own flock of three kids, she tends to her flock of backyard chickens!

LAUREN PESCHARDT

Lauren has a BA in Social Work and an MA in Non-Profit Management. She has worked with NPOs large and small on social justice initiatives, including supporting survivors of domestic violence, disaster relief, and with Richard Branson's Virgin Unite, bringing support from this organization to her home, the British Virgin Islands.
